Helurrr all you beauts! I hope that you had a good (and safe) long weekend. I watched a lot of movies (Infinity War obviously), ate a lot of food and spent some quality time with my family. Overall, it was a much needed break!
If you follow me on instagram (you should), you would have already seen me rave about one of the products that I am going to mention AND you would already know of the surprise (read until the end). I’m very proud to announce that I am the Brand Ambassador of Mi Beauty & Spa – a local (and organic) bath and body skincare company. The owner, Mihlali Somtunzi, is passionate about providing quality products at a reasonable price. Mi Beauty ticks all the boxes.
Revitalizing Rice Bran Body Lotion.
I did a review on instagram on the Revitalizing Rice Bran Body Lotion not too long ago. I am absolutely inlove with this lotion. The first thing that caught my attention was the absolutely heavenly smell – warm vanilla sugar (sounds yummy, doesn’t it ?). I am always looking for a good moisturizer for my body because my skin is extremely sensitive and doesn’t do well with our fluctuating climate. I was pleasantly surprised by how soft my skin felt and the hydration it provided – all whilst smelling like freshly baked cupcakes! Let’s talk about the ingredients for a little bit : Rice Bran Oil is proven to be great for the skin, known to be deeply hydrating and also having anti-aging properties. Due to the high percentage in fatty acids, it is perfect for a skin moisturiser. This lotion is also packed with other amazing oils and botanicals such as aloe vera extract, avocado oil, evening primrose oil, shea butter and jojoba oil to name a few. This little thing is packed with all your skin needs to be healthy with a glow of radiance. Selling at just R180 – it is such a steal!
Intensive Therapy Foot Crème.
The other product that I just had to have in my life was the Intensive Therapy Foot Crème (also the warm vanilla scent). Winter is certainly arriving sooner that I’d like, and with it comes a whole lot of skin concerns! It is no secret that dry skin is a huge NO-NO and the only thing that delivers immediate results is a good moisturiser. I found that while the scent was sweet smelling, it was slightly different from the body lotion – it gave me a slight minty scent (weird I know). I put on a generous amount after showering (I use a foot file in the shower just to get rid of all the dead skin around my heels) and I felt an immediate cooling sensation all over my foot. It is a very thick and creamy texture, but it absorbs nicely into the skin without leaving it sticky. I love that they’re made with natural ingredients and was so curious about how exactly it was working. This little bad boy is loaded with loads of essential oils – spearmint, wintergreen and menthol is what gives you that cool feeling after you apply it. Aloe vera to help soothe and repair cracked/damaged heels as well as some tea tree oil to name a few. This retails for R135 and is a must-have this winter!
